I am writing because I thought you may be interested in participating in the Cracking the Nut: Promoting Agricultural Technology Adoption and Resilience conference. This event will take place June 12 – 13, 2018 in Antigua, Guatemala. The two-day learning event will the broad range of technologies and approaches available to mitigate and adapt to global changes related to rural and agricultural development. The conference will include a Technology Fair, where firms can showcase the latest innovations and demonstrate how they can improve lives for smallholder farmers and the rural poor, increase incomes and reduce waste. The conference is currently accepting proposals for breakout session presentations that explore one of the three following themes:

  • Introducing Technologies in Support of Climate Resilience.

  • Promoting Sustainable Natural Resource Use and Poverty Reduction.

  • Using Digital Platforms to Facilitate Agricultural Knowledge & Finance.

Given your organization’s work in this area, I strongly encourage you to consider submitting a proposal (deadline: December 22, 2017) to share your valuable insight and lessons learned. By presenting at the conference, your organization will be able to highlight its work and gain visibility among some of the most important development organizations, impact investors, donors, and private sector companies working in the region.
